It's God himself depicted by one of our greatest thinkers and artist thus far known to mankind. Michelangelo must have been trying to convey that God's connection to all of us as humans is through a gift of conscious thinking. Through our brain is God himself and the potential to create a world that is completely benevolent and of the highest positive virtue it can be. Should we not take some of our most prominent thinkers beliefs into consideration?
Our consciousness must be based in the heart, using the brain as a tool, to create a benevolent reality. The brain on its own knows fear, where the heart knows unconditional love, knowing no fear.
